Travel Information
If you are flying to New Zealand from overseas, I would recommend flying into Christchurch International Airport. Once you’ve stayed and experienced the sights of Christchurch, it’s a comfortable self-drive of 2 hours 30 minutes to Lake Tekapo. Alternatively, fly into Queenstown, which is located 3 hours from Lake Tekapo.
